Gerald Celente Discusses His "Greatest Fear"

His really unpleasant predictions start kicking in around the 5:00 minute mark, but the whole message is dismal. I don’t know much about the host, so please don’t assume I’m endorsing him, because I’m not. But I do find Celente’s take on the economic crisis to be worth listening to.

Alex Jones and Gerald Celente need prayer for God to touch their hearts. "Through God ALL things are possible"—-Let's make disgustingly, despairing, hopeless, Apocolyptic predictions made by these men IMPOSSIBLE!!! Done. God loves his creation. People like Alex and Gerald hate people, love money and are drooling about the mouth for crap like this to come to fruition. Thankfully, WE have God.

I suspect that Mr. Celente is right. The signs are out there.

  3. Mary says:

Right before the Anti-Christ comes the conversion of the Jews has to happen, according to scripture and the Early Fathers and some saints. As far as I can tell, that hasn't happened yet. Be I do agree that we are in the time of the Great Disobedience.

I've looked at Celente's website and watched some of the videos with him doing guest appearances on radio shows and tv shows. He's pretty mainstream. I think Alex Jones brings him on because he takes whoever will come on his show. But Celente has been spot on with many of his financial predictions.

Suspect anyone (Alex Jones, not Celente) whose voice is "veiled." Throat is tight. Hiding something. Think of Bill Clinton's voice.

While I agree that we need to prepare for the near future, we also need to avoid a survivalist "me against the world" attitude. We can put stuff away but, as servants of Jesus Christ, we need to be willing to share with others.

There is a book called "Trial, Tribulation and Triumph" that goes over end-time prophecies. It is very well written and documented. It discourages the idea that the Anti-Christ is among us, and gives reasons for that conclusion. It's a very level-headed work with a wealth of information from Church resources. Makes a good case that the end is not near. But doesn't deny the fact that we're living in seriously depraved times.

Yup. Alex Jones. Crankiest of cranks…

  10. Kevin in Texas says:

One caveat to readers, Mr. Madrid: Alex Jones is perhaps the most infamous conspiracy theorist in the United States–9/11 Truther, alien abductions, you name it and he believes it and encourages it. That's not to say anything about Celente's forecast, but I find his choice of language interesting and perhaps a bit too conspiracy-minded for my tastes.

Perhaps the most important thing we should take away form all of this as Catholics is to trust in God and not to worry about earthly troubles and tribulations, for our true home is in Heaven with Him who made us. I know too many people who hear these types of warnings (and again, I'm not saying a major financial collapse is impossible) and lose all sense of proportion, ending up in despair and even suicidal. We must trust in God first and foremost and know that He will take care of us.

That said, I do think the Church and the world are increasingly experiencing apocalyptic phenomena. As for me, I'll trust in the Lord if we are indeed going to be witnesses to the Apocalypse in our lifetimes.
