Take heart, “the gates of hell shall not prevail”…although sometimes I do wish they wouldn’t rattle quite so obscenely in our faces.

This shameful, disgusting decision by Fr. Jenkins has made the students of Notre Dame and all faithful devout Catholics nothing but a laughing stock. I expect this type of thing from the media and Obama and his administration, but when it comes from within the Church it is almost too painful to bear.

I think we need to get use to the fact that no sooner do we begin to get up from one smack in the face, then we get knocked to the ground again.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

I am what you would call a very, very big fan of Notre Dame, especially their football team.

I am sick to death over this. The cartoon above is a very good illustration of 1) how I feel and 2) how the Blessed Mother herself probably feels as well.

Fr. Jenkins knows darn good and well that this won’t open up any kind of meaningful dialogue. It’s a publicity ploy.

If Abamanation actually does speak there and receive an honorary degree, my Saturday autumn afternoons will become my own time again.

If priests won’t protect us from evil teachings, then who will?
